Thundereggs* - This gathering of Women Over 80 and Their Friends meets informally (and has since 1998) to solve the problems of the world. Thursdays from 2-3 at Grape and Grain, 49 W. 29th St. in Eugene. If you're under 55, come to listen. If you're over 65, come to talk. Drop-ins welcome! WomenKin Literary Journal - CALL FOR ORIGINAL WRITING!
WomenKin is the literary journal sponsored by the Women and Religion Committee of the UU Church in Eugene. Published 2-3 times a year, it features words, stories, poetry, and thoughts from women and men eager to express their feelings in writing and to explore ways in which we can foster kinship among ourselves. Send submissions via email to Bonnie Phipps (no attachments please). LENGTH: Approximately 1 page or less.

Blood Bank - Members donate blood to the Lane Memorial Blood Bank and credit their donations to our church's account. As needed, this blood becomes available to our members and their immediate families and relatives in Lane County. Should it ever become necessary for you to request blood as noted above, call Mark Lustica at 344-8161 and he will notify the Blood Bank to release the amount needed. Thanks to our generous donors, we have a more than ample supply in our account. To donate blood, make an appointment by calling 484-9111. The address is 2211 Willamette St.
