BLOOMINGDALE'S SALES EVENT TO BENEFIT THE
SURFRIDER FOUNDATION
Nationwide Denim Days Sale to Take Place Saturday, March 15th
San Clemente, CA (March 12, 2003) - Bloomingdale's, the nation's premier
retailer of fine clothing, home furnishings and accessories is donating a portion
of proceeds from their upcoming Denim Days sales event to the Surfrider Foundation.
The sale event will be taking place in the men's department of all 28 stores this
Saturday, March 15th.
Additionally, customers who purchase $125 or more of men's denim at selected stores
will receive a special gift of two tickets to exclusive Surfrider Foundation benefit
concerts in Los Angeles and New York City this spring. While organizers
of the New York City concert event are still keeping the name of their headlining
act under wraps, it was announced earlier this month that multi-platinum recording
artists Lit, Southern California Punk heroes Unwritten Law and rising artist Gavin
DeGraw will be performing at the Los Angeles concert April 10th at the Key Club.
Maxim Magazine is also hosting a meet and greet opportunity with Brooke
Burns, Maxim cover girl and host of the NBC reality show "Dog Eat
Dog" at Bloomingdale's Beverly Center store. Burns will be making an
appearance from 2 to 4 pm in support of the Bloomingdale's and Maxim's Next Wave
benefit concert event in Los Angeles.

as beneficiary for their Denim Days sales event," said Matt McClain, Director
of Marketing for the Surfrider Foundation. "This is a great opportunity
for everyone to start getting geared up for summer, possibly receive tickets to
a private benefit concert and support the Surfrider Foundation all at the same
time."
