INITIATIVE PETITION
for
Oregon State Constitutional Amendment
To place on the ballot, general election
November 7th, 2000
the following amendment to the
OREGON STATE CONSTITUTION.
"The manufacture, possession, and consumption,
in private,
of the plant cannabis and all its families and byproducts,
shall be legal for all persons, 21 years of age or older"

Privacy is the Issue
Oregonians have the chance to establish privacy within the Oregon Constitution with this Initiative Petition. If this Initiative Petition is successful, privacy will be established. Not just for Marijuana , but a step towards restoring privacy rights to all Oregonians
There is presently no privacy protection for Oregonians within our Constitution.
The Oregon Courts have continued to expand the States Right to Search and Seizure.
Only a privacy clause in the Oregon Constitution will protect Oregonians from excessive police search and seizures
