The Secrets

The Secrets were my most commercially successful band to date. Consisting of Dave Bruell on bass and vocals, Mark Fuqua on guitar and vocals, Duke Pippitt on drums, and me on guitar and vocals, The Secrets were a vocal and songwriting powerhouse.

We won the first annual B.J. Kelly's Battle of the Bands over 26 other bands, playing all original material. Judging was by audience vote (secret ballot) and in the packed nightclub the roar of the crowd was deafening.

The last performance of The Secrets was on December 31, 1983. However, shortly after that, we finished our one and only album (The Secrets) and it was released commercially in the early Spring of 1984.

The following samples are from that album and can be downloaded.
