NOTES:

Based on the above documentation it is clear that there were 3 generations of Wesselings living at Bömers Heuer in Laxten. For further information about Bömers Hof, refer to the entry regarding the previous generation.

1. This section of Lingen was described as follows: "Lingen ist ein Landstadtchen.  Viele Leute besitzen einen Garten.  Manche haben auch einen Acker.  Die Stadt ist deshalb von Feldern oder Fluren umgeben.  Diese nächste Umgebung der Stadt heißt Stadtflur.  Dazu gehören auch schon die Straßen außerhalb des Stadtgrabens."8

2. She was from Wachendorf and had married Jan Heinrich Bömer in in 1782 in Lingen. Interestingly, a Hermann Pott of Wachendorf married Anna Wesselinck on June 2, 1653 in Lingen.

3. He may have been the child's paternal grandfather.

4. He may have related to the child's paternal grandmother.

5. The parish's records indicated that she had been the daughter of "Jan Herm Wesseling in Bömers Heuer".

6. He may have been the sponsor of Johann Bernhard Lühn, who was christened on January 1, 1825 in Lingen. The record showed that the sponsor was from Laxten.

7. He may have been the Johann Bernhard Tebbe from Emsbüren who had married Anna Maria Lüken from Sögel in 1789 at the Church of St. Bonifatius in Lingen.
