Twins Trail Map

There are excellent views all round from the rim of The Twins (2240m, 7,340 ft.). This volcanic rock mountain features two red cinder cones, and a meadow in the crater. Although most of the trail has a moderate grade, the final section is a scramble up the side of one of the cinder cones.

Agoseris sp. (Yellow Mountain Dandelion)

Compositae

We found this unusual Agoseris growing in a rocky area on The Twins. The common mountain dandelion (Agoseris aurantiaca) is a meadow plant with an orange flower.
