- HIKING TRAILS AND WILDFLOWERS by Keith and Barbro McCree -

It is a short but steep walk down to Chuckle Springs from the trailhead
on Road 404. The trail continues down to the Middle Fork Willamette River,
intersecting the upper (equestrian) and lower (pedestrian) parts of the
Middle Fork trail. You can loop back to the springs on these trails.
This is a spectacular section of the Middle Fork trail. The trail follows
close to the river as it rushes through a heavily forested canyon, which
continues downstream as far as the Indigo Springs trailhead.
