- HIKING TRAILS AND WILDFLOWERS by Keith and Barbro McCree -

The meadows on Bear Mountain are the best places to find wildflowers in
the Diamond Peak Wilderness. From the trailhead on Road 2149, the trail
follows the ridgeline of Bear Mountain, crossing several meadows, then descending
steeply to the Diamond Peak trail. Continue north on this trail to the junction
with the trail down to Blue Lake, which also has good wildflower meadows.
Road 2149 can be used to return to the Bear Mountain trailhead.
