Spring is here and the road to the Pioneer Gulch trailhead is open. The trip from the trailhead to the summit is about 3.5 miles and 4,100 feet of elevation gain. We made the trip to the summit in 4 hours. We skiied down after a short lunch on the top, and had great spring snow conditions. We were able to ski all but about 1 mile from the car.
