A Quilter’s Journey presented by The Kitsap Quilters will present their 24th annual quilt show,on Friday, February 19, 2010 from 10 AM to 8 PM, and on Saturday, February 20, from 10 AM to 5 PM at the President’s Hall, Kitsap County Fairgrounds, in Bremerton, WA. The Tri-City Quilters’ Guild will hold its 27th Annual Quilt Show and Merchant Mall, “Smell the Roses…Quilt Your Dreams”, on Friday, March 26 and Saturday, March 27, 2010, at the Three Rivers Convention Center, located at 7016 W. Grandridge Blvd in Kennewick, Washington. The hours will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A $5.00 donation is requested at the door. Parking is free. A food and beverage bar will be available throughout the show. The National Featured Artist is McKenna Ryan. The guild’s Member Featured Artist is Barb Sherrill. The Lane County Historical Society & Museum and the Pioneer Quilters, 34th Annual "The Unbroken Thread" Quilt Show, "Threads of Friendship."
Saturday, April 10, through Sunday, April 18, at the Lane County Historical Museum., 740 West 13th Ave., Eugene, OR. Each day of the show will feature a speaker from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. and quilting demonstrations from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. A schedule is available on the museum’s website, www.lanecountyhistoricalsociety.org.
The museum will be open special hours Tuesday-Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., and closed Monday. Admission is $4 for adults and seniors and $3 for children. A weekly pass is $10. Lane County Historical Society members are free. Proceeds from the exhibition benefit the museum.

Oregon Quilt Project Kicks Off Statewide Survey in Sisters
The Oregon Quilt Project will be kicking-off in Sisters with a special presentation by Karen Alexander on April 28, 2010, at the Stitchin’ Post Quilt Shop. Her talk is titled, “Why Document Quilts” and will begin at 5 PM.
The Oregon Quilt Project, a state wide quilt documentation project, will begin its quilt documentation days on April 29, 2010, in Sisters, Oregon. This project was conceived by members of the Columbia Willamette Quilt Study Group, and is being coordinated by Martha Spark from Roseburg and Bill Volckening from Portland. Over the next few years, quilts from all parts of the state will be documented, along with the history and stories associated with their owners and makers. Documentation days are now being scheduled, and if you are interested in participating, or would like to host a documentation day in your area, please contact the coordinators via their website, www.oregonquiltproject.org.

8th annual Hells Canyon Mule Days quilt show, Enterprise, Oregon
Cloverleaf Hall at the Wallowa County Fairgrounds, during the Hells Canyon Mule Days event. This exhibit recognizes individual quilt makers from the area with over 100 quilts on display for the three day event.
The Cloverleaf Hall comes alive with quilts that foster designs from the past and also current day patterns that will amaze and inspire the quilter and non-quilter alike. Quilts will be entered in six categories; Bed Size Quilts, Crib/Lap Size Quilts, My First Quilt, and Wall Hangings. Also, a special category sponsored by Hannah Beaudoin from Savoie’s Specialties, for Mule designed motif quilts with first place capturing a $200.00 cash prize. New this year will be a category for “Lost and Found” Untold Stories From The Past. The “Lost and Found” category are quilts that have been acquired and the story of the quilt is unknown.
There will be a Merchants Mall with all those “must have-can’t resist” items including quilt vendors, artisans with quality crafted goods, home and country, and garden accents...
The raffle quilt is “Quilters Village” a Buggy Barn design. Tickets may be purchased for $1.00 each or six for $5.00 and the winning ticket will be drawn on Sunday at 2:00 pm and you don’t have to be present to win.
This year’s Trunk Show will highlight Wallowa County Ranch Women. Be sure to take the extra time to enjoy reading the stories about these exceptional women.
