The Mohawk Quilt Club is a small group of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students who meet weekly after school to sew quilts. This is the culmination of a seven-month community service activity for the kids, whose creations are later donated to Comforts for Children and Project Linus for distribution to agencies serving children in frightening situations (hospitals, house fires, entering foster care, Womenspace, etc.)

Wallowa Mountain Quilters Guild Show

Located at the base of the spectacular Wallowa Mountains in NE Oregon, the 17th Annual Wallowa Mountain Quilt Guild Show will feature over 150 quilts. The show is judged by popular vote, and quilt entries from all locations and of all types are encouraged. You will also want to attend the fabulous Oregon Mountain Cruise Car Show, now in its 20 th year, that sports over 300 awesome entries that line the streets of Joseph. During the SAGEBRUSH SCRAMBLE quilt shop “hoppers” will tumble through 13 quilt shops throughout eastern Oregon and Washington! Three of the shops are in Wallowa County, Oregon. NOTE: The Sagebrush Shop Hop will include an exclusive TOUR of Crabapple Hill Design Studio in Benton City, Washington. “Sagebrush” is also boasting a new format this year, July 10 through July 18, 2009, giving you TWO WEEKENDS to complete the hop. Every “Hopper” will receive a free tote bag and those that visit all shops will be eligible for GRAND prizes galore! 1st Ever Crescent City, Calif. City-wide quilt show Event
20 minutes from the Oregon Border and nestled between the Redwoods and the Sea, Crescent City, Calif. is having their first City-wide quilt show. Stroll through town and see quilts FREE in Merchants windows Aug 8th through 14th.
Then on August 15th and 16th, in conjunction with the Lighthouse Quilt Guild Show, buses will transport visitors from venue to venue. Included in your ticket is admission to the Guild show at the Fairgrounds, admission to the Historical Society to see vintage and antique quilts, plus free rides to the Harbor, Downtown and Elk Valley Casino.

Mount Bachelor Quilters Guild presents its 26th Annual Quilt Show "Quilts in the Park"
Saturday, August 15, 2009 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Pioneer Park in Bend, Oregon.
The park is located at the corner of Wall Street and Portland Avenue.
Admission is free.
Over 100 quilts will be displayed. Our featured quilter this year is Jill Monley. The guild's 2009 Raffle Quilt will be on display, with the winning ticket being drawn about 3:30 pm. Tickets will be on sale at $1 each or 6 for $5 until just before the drawing. There will be quilts for sale and a Quilter's Sales Table. The park is such a beautiful setting to display and enjoy all the beautiful quilts. We hope to see you there.

Marys River Quilt Guild presents Quilts in the Garden, a biennial quilt and garden show in Corvallis, Oregon
10 am - 4 pm in the gardens in the northwest section of Corvallis and some are within walking distance of each other. Admission to the seven gardens is $5, which is payable at any of the gardens. The gardens feature not only flowers, but fruit trees, berries, vegetables, lavender fields, water features and a garden chess set. The quilts, provided by Marys River Quilt Guild members, include traditional, contemporary/art, antique, miniatures, and celebration quilts. Also on display will be Journal Quilts assembled by cancer diagnosed patients who work with teachers in a free class, Permission 2 Play, Living Well with Cancer & Healing Through Quilting. Quilts from Caring Hands will have quilts for sale. And Marys River Quilt Guild will have this year’s raffle quilt, Mariner’s Rainbow, on display with tickets for sale at $1 each or 6 for $5.

This exhibit recognizes individual quilt makers from the area with over 100 quilts on display for the three day event. Our show committee is always pleased to show new quilts and we welcome your entry. The Cloverleaf Hall comes alive with quilts that foster designs from the past and also current day patterns that will amaze and inspire the quilter and non-quilter alike. Quilts will be entered in three categories; Bed Size Quilts, Crib/Lap Size Quilts, and Wall Hangings. Also, a special category sponsored by Hannah Beaudoin from Savoie’s Specialties, for Mule designed motif quilts. There will be a Merchants Mall with all those “must have-can’t resist” items including quilt vendors, artisans with quality handcrafted goods, home and country and garden accents. The raffle quilt will be on display and tickets may be purchased for $1.00 each or six for $5.00 and the winning ticket will be drawn on Sunday at 2:00 pm.
