*Lane County Jail: Coordinator Brenda K (484-6773) Co Coordinator Ted H. (338-8380) (Meetings held: Wednesday Evenings 7:50pm-9:10pm) the meetings have been well attended by inmates and by AA volunteers. Brenda K. is stepping down as Coordinator but is still the contact person for jail approval for volunteers. Ted H. is now the Coordinator for Lane County Jail, thanks for all your hard work Brenda.

*CCC (Community Corrections Center- Job Release): Women’s Coordinator- Open Men’s Coordinator- Tom R. (465-1832) Men’s Co Coordinator Bob L. (Meetings Held: Thursdays 8:20pm-9:40pm). Still no women’s Co-Coordinator as of yet. Everything is going well with the men’s meeting. Well attended by inmates and AA volunteers. This meeting is short on volunteers both men and women. They would need jail approval 1st. Please Call Tom if interested.

*Alma Work Camp (Located above the Smith River): Coordinator-Bud W. (935-8833) (Meetings Held: Two Sundays a month at 7-8pm) No Report this month. Bud W. has been taking the meeting out himself. He also has been in contact with Sgt. Riley. There is a good opportunity for some type of Bridging the Gap program for inmates being released. Prior jail approval is necessary. Volunteers are needed.

Pathways (Youth Correctional Treatment Facility): Coordinator-Kenny (461-2937) Co Coordinator- George M. (744-2148) (Meetings Held: Fridays 7:20pm-8:40pm) Everything is going good with this meeting. Anyone interested in speaking at this meeting should contact Kenny. They have been in contact with the facility.

*Serbu Detention Center (Lane County Youth Jail-formally known as Skipworth): Coordinator- Jack C. (463-1040) (Meetings Held: Every other Tuesday 6:30pm-7:30pm) Meetings are twice a month. No Report Given. Only 8 inmates can attend at a time. Clearance at this meeting is different than Lane County Corrections, please contact Jack if interested.

CTF (Cooperation with Treatment Facilities)

Carlton House (W.T.F. - Men’s Facility): Coordinator Joe C. (554-3558) Co Coordinator-Robert S. (684-9439) (Meetings Held: Mondays 7:20pm-9:10pm) Report Given by Robert. Everything is going well. Have been using a Big Book study format with good results. Attendance has been full from the patients.

Willamette Family Treatment- (Women’s Meeting): Coordinator- Janis (935-8833) Co Coordinator-Virginia (338-7174) (Meetings Held: Fridays 6:30pm-7:30pm) No Report.

W.F.T. Women’s Big Book Study Group: Coordinator- Leslie (606-5776) (Meetings Held: Sundays 6:30pm-7:30pm) .No Report. Meetings are being held regularly when volunteers show up. Currently there are two volunteers and they certainly need more!! Contact Leslie if interested.

Serenity Lane Speaker’s Meeting: Coordinator-Cayce (520-5635) Co Coordinator-Carl F. (554-8358) (Meeting Held: Fridays 7:15pm-8:15pm) Everything is going well with this meeting. Please call Cayce if anyone is interested in speaking at the Meeting in the 1st quarter of 2003.

Serenity Lane Bridging the Gap Meeting: Coordinator-Gus P. (463-1691) (Meeting Held: 1st and 2nd Saturdays 10:15am-11:15am) No report. Meetings are designed to briefly explain the Steps, Traditions, Literature, Meetings, and Sponsorship of A.A. Need women volunteers. This is also a “Building the Bridging the Gap Program” and team.

Serenity Lane New Saturday PM Meeting: Coordinator- Kurt J. (747-8925) Co Coordinator- (Meeting Held: Saturday 7:00pm-8:00pm). This is a Traditional style discussion meeting with the clients. If interested please contact Kurt.

HOSPITALS

LCPH (Lane County Psychiatric Hospital): Coordinator- Todd J. (302-6377) Co Coordinator Bruce P. (Meetings Held: Wednesdays 5:50pm-7:10pm) 4-6 patients are attending. Sunday meeting is up and running but still need more volunteers, especially women.

Johnson Unit (Sacred Heart Hospital Psychology Unit): Coordinator: Jill (302-1311) Co Coordinator- Ryan (513-6498) (Meetings Held: Tuesdays 6pm-7pm) The meetings are going well when there are patients. =]This meeting requires 3 years of sobriety.

VA Hospital Meeting: Coordinator Dennis (607-5127) Co Coordinator- Steve S. (Meetings are held on Monday at 2:30pm-3:30pm and Friday at 11am-12pm) They need more volunteers for the Monday meeting. Call Dennis if interested. Everything else is going well.

Old Business: Discussed Approval of this years budget and how to obtain literature for the facilities through the EVI Office. There was also a concern that H and I notes be available in hard copy form at both the EVI and H and I meetings to be taken back to the groups.

A schedule is out for three months. Volunteers can now be processed for the new year. Karyl S. has been replaced by Karen (inside the jail) for application process. This can be a good thing for us. Brenda K. is the contact person for jail approval for volunteers. Four new volunteers were recently approved.

(Meetings Held: Thursdays 8:20pm-9:40pm) Tom is to review list of women volunteers for possible candidates. Everything else is going well with this meeting. Well attended by inmates and AA volunteers. This meeting is short on volunteers both men and women. They would need jail approval 1st. Bob L. was recently voted in as the new Men’s Co Coordinator.

HOSPITALS

LCPH (Lane County Psychiatric Hospital): Coordinator- Todd J. (302-6377) Co Coordinator Bruce P. (Meetings Held: Wednesdays 5:50pm-7:10pm) 4-6 patients are attending. Todd contacted the facility. They now have a policy where ex-patients can attend with the prior approval of their therapists and was a well behaved patient. Everything else is going good with this meeting. A meeting was held on Christmas Day.

Elections:
Cayce- Was approved by H and I to present as new CTF Co Chair at EVI January meeting

Discussion:
Dann L. was allowed to come back in as a volunteer after a lengthy discussion about our code of conduct. Everyone was informed about recruiting Co Coordinators and volunteers. A committee was established to put a presentation together for the EVI Committee about the by laws addressing voting in of Committee Officers to be presented in February. We also discussed upcoming budget. Hopefully a link on the EVI website has been created for H and I notes. The next meeting will be held on January 29th at 6pm at EVI.

The meetings have been well attended by inmates, and a fairly good turnout of volunteers this last month as well. Missed one meeting for the females last month. Have a new volunteer to help make reminder calls! No problems to report. A schedule went out for the next six months. This meeting always needs Volunteers big time! Please help us recruit! New applications will be taken for January approval.

*CCC (Community Corrections Center- Job Release): Men’s Coordinator- Tom R. (3465-1832) (Meetings Held: Thursdays 8:20pm-9:40pm) Well attended by inmates and AA volunteers. This meeting also is in need of more volunteers! Must have jail approval prior to going. ITU group within the prison was recently closed down due to lack of funding. Tom R. to look for a female volunteer to step up as possible Co Coordinator.

*Alma Work Camp (Located above the Smith River): Coordinator- Bud W.. (Coordinator 935-8835)(Meetings Held: Two Sundays a month at 7-8pm) Meetings have been taken out several times by Bud W. Bud also is looking for currently approved and new jail volunteers to hopefully step up to take 2 meetings a month for a while. Twelve inmates involved with Aces attend this meeting every month. The format was changed slightly. Small conflict with Bible study Being held at the same time.

Pathways (Youth Correctional Treatment Facility): Coordinator Kenny(461-2937) (Meetings Held: Fridays 7:20pm-8:40pm)

Things are going well with this meeting. Glen P. requested to step down from coordinator role due to his schedule. We really appreciate the service work that he did. Another volunteer touched by the late Bob Teague. Thanks Glen. Kenny has the meeting booked through the year with volunteers.

**Serbu Detention Center (Lane County Youth Jail-formally known as Skipworth): Coordinator- Jack C. (463-1040) (Meetings Held: Every other Tuesday 6:30pm-7:30pm) Report given by email. Three new volunteers were added to the team. Special application is necessary for clearance. Meeting is going well.

Carlton House (W.T.F.- Men’s Facility): Coordinator Joe C. (554-3558) (Meetings Held: Mondays 7:20pm-9:10pm) Everything is going well. Discussion about meeting being run by patients on several occasions. Joe is updating volunteers and code of conduct forms. We are looking for a new Co Coordinator for Joe and this meeting. Joe was unable to attend HandI eeting. Larry W. gave the report.

Willamette Family Treatment- (Women’s Meeting): Coordinator (Janis 935-8833) (Meetings Held: Fridays 6:30pm-7:30pm) Meetings were attended by both volunteers and patients recently. Other women volunteers who want to attend with less than 1 year sobriety are asked to attend with their sponsors. Janis has been in contact with the facility. Any females interested in helping out with treatment center meetings should call Janis.

W.F.T. Women’s Big Book Study Group (Women’s Meeting) Coordinator-Leslie B (606-5776) (Meetings Held: Sundays 6:30pm-7:30pm) Leslie gave report to Karl over the phone. She has to work on Wednesdays. Everything going good with this meeting. This meeting is also short on women volunteers. Attempting to hold meetings regularly.

Kurt is working on shoring up the team of volunteers to make sure this meeting remains consistant. Contact Kurt if you are interested in speaking at this meeting. HOSPITALS

LCPH (Lane County Psychiatric Hospital): Coordinator- Todd J. (302-6377) Co Coordinator Bruce P. (Meetings Held: Wednesdays 5:50pm-7:10pm) Not many patients are attending recently. Everything else is going good with this meeting. A new secretary for the 2^nd week was added. Welcome Cindy J. Todd recently ill and could not attend HandI meeting. Larry W. gave the report.

Johnson Unit (Sacred Heart Hospital Psychology Unit): Coordinator: Jill (302-1311) Co Coordinator Ryan A.513-6498)(Meeting is Held: Tuesdays 6pm-7pm) The meetings had no patients for the last 3 weeks. Any new volunteers need to have 3 years sobriety. Jill is looking for a woman alternate. Steve S. gave the approval for Ryan A. to become the Co Coordinator.

VA Hospital Meeting: Coordinator Dennis (607-5127) (Meeting is held on Monday at 2:30pm-3:30pm) and (Fridays Meeting is 11am-12pm). These meetings have been attended by both volunteers and patients. However, Monday’s meeting has been slow. There might be some discussion going on about closing one of their locations. Dennis to keep us posted.

The team of volunteers is growing slowly. Call Dennis if you want to attend/chair a meeting.

Elections:

Larry W. was voted in as H and I Co Chair. Thanks for the commitment Larry!

Glen rotated out as Pathway’s Chair and Kenny M. rotated in from Co Chair. Thanks Glen.

Harold was voted the owner of the largest AA phone list Chair Person. Call Harold if you need a phone number.

Discussion:

Coordinators were reminded to recruit Co Coordinators for their meeting. The Hand I budget was discussed as year end approaches. We also had a discussion about how and when the various Chair positions get voted in and rotated out through EVI. It was decided that a committee would review these procedures and make a recommendation to EVI in December. Brenda K. is now handling the jail application process. Contact her with any of your questions.

Carlton House (W.T.F.- Men’s Facility): Coordinator Joe C. (554-3558) (Meetings Held: Mondays 7:20pm-9:10pm) Everything is going well. One meeting was missed due to volunteer emergency. Meeting was held by patients. Joe is updating volunteers and code of conduct forms. We are looking for a new Co Coordinator for Joe and this meeting. Joe has contacted the facility.

Willamette Family Treatment- (Women’s Meeting): Coordinator (Janis 935-8833) (Meetings Held: Fridays 6:30pm-7:30pm) Had an increase in volunteers last month. Other women volunteers who want to attend with less than 1 year sobriety are asked to attend with their sponsors. Janis contacted the facility recently. Always looking for more women volunteers for this meeting. This meeting is doing great.

W.F.T. Women’s Big Book Study Group (Women’s Meeting) Coordinator-Leslie B (606-5776) (Meetings Held: Sundays 6:30pm-7:30pm) No report given for this meeting. This meeting is short on volunteers. Attempting to hold meetings regularly.

Serenity Lane Speaker’s Meeting: Coordinator- Caycee (746-6990) (Meeting Held: Fridays 7:15pm-8:15pm) Everything going well with this meeting. No problems to report. Caycee has speakers each week. Please call Caycee if anyone is interested in speaking at the Meeting.

Serenity Lane Bridging the Gap Meeting: Coordinator-Gus P. (463-1691) (Meeting Held: 1^st and 2^nd Saturdays 10:15am-11:15am) No report was given. Gus has returned and reports that he was out recruiting in tim buck too. This meeting is designed to briefly explain the Steps, Traditions, Literature, Meetings, and Sponsorship of A.A. Need women volunteers. Mandatory meeting for the patients. Call Gus if you have any interest in this meeting.

Serenity Lane New Saturday PM Meeting: Coordinator-Kurt J. (747-8925) (Meeting Held: Saturday 7:00pm-8:00pm) 25-35 patients attend this meeting. Kurt trying to shore up the team of volunteers to make sure this meeting remains consistant. Contact Kurt if you are interested in speaking at this meeting. Several new volunteers recently added. Kurt is to look for a Co Coordinator soon.

HOSPITALS

LCPH (Lane County Psychiatric Hospital): Coordinator- Todd J. (302-6377) Co Coordinator Bruce P. (Meetings Held: Wednesdays 5:50pm-7:10pm) 3-6 patients are attending. Everything is going good with this meeting. Bruce P. is the new Co Coordinator. Good attendance was reported by both patients and volunteers.

Johnson Unit (Sacred Heart Hospital Psychology Unit): Coordinator: Jill (302-1311) (Meeting is Held: Tuesdays 6pm-7pm) The meetings are going well when there are patients. No prior patients allowed to volunteer and must have 3 years sobriety. Jill is looking for a woman alternate. Another male alternate wouldn’t hurt either. Call Jill if interested. Steve S. has been working with Ryan A. who shows interest in becoming Co Coordinator.

VA Hospital Meeting: Coordinator Dennis (607-5127) (Meeting is held on Monday at 2:30pm-3:30pm) and (Fridays Meeting is 11am-12pm). These meetings have been attended by both volunteers and patients. However, Monday’s meeting has been slow. Dale D. rotated out as Coordinator who was replaced by Dennis. Thanks for your help Dale!

Tom R. took over as Corrections Chair as Ron B. rotates out. THANKS RON FOR EVERYTHING!!

Discussion:

Recruiting volunteers remains our main objective for meetings. Discussed the need for Coordinators Roles and Responsibilities form to be signed by everyone. Coordinators were reminded to recruit Co Coordinators for their meeting. Discussed a volunteer who requested to be reactivated for a volunteer position after being asked to not participate in their meeting by the facility. Tabled until December meeting. Brenda and Ron discussed the jail volunteer approval transisition as Ron B. rotated out of Corrections. 3^rd edition books were handed out to several meetings.
