AUGUST 2, 1999 STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING
Ed opened the meeting at 5:41 with the Serenity Prayer.
ATTENDING: Ed, Al, Chris, Debbie, Bill N., Gary, Bill B., Bob, and Don.
FINANCE REPORT - Gary - Contributions are way up due to lots of groups donating, many are contributing on a quarterly basis. Faithful Fivers are up this month, but some paid by year.
OFFICE VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR - Bill B. - The office volunteer meeting is held on the third Tuesday of every month and 5:30. Will have flyers. Still looking for volunteers, all shifts are covered, but no reserves. They're looking well with lots of cooperation and good feelings. THere were more discrepencies found that go back to the problem of last month. Over all office procedures tightening up very well. A good system of checks and balances is in place.
--> Chris motioned to have the secretary record motions made, who made them, who seconded, any discussions, outcome, and ratio of the vote. Debbie seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
--> Al moved to have previous motions put into the By-laws. Bill N. seconded the motion. A fairly long discussion followed. The motion was defeated unanimously.
--> Bill moved to adjourn. Debbie seconded.
Ed closed the meeting at 7:17 with the Serenity Prayer.
