First Wednesday Song Circles
If you like to sing all types of folk songs, come give the Song Circle a try.
The August song circle will be held this Wednesday, August 6th, from 7 to 9 PM at the home of Lee Rothrock. His address is 712 S 37th in Springfield
(map).

Directions to Lee's house: Go out Main St in Springfield to 37th St and turn right. There is NO SOUTH 36th St, so HEADS UP when you pass 35th. 37th is RIGHT AFTER the 40 MPH sign. Head south on 37th until it ends, and you are there, the place on the right with the tall trees.

Blago Scholarship Fund
EFS members may apply for scholarships to dance camps, music camps,
or workshops up to a maximum of $50 will be given per event.

EFS Contra Dances
EFS puts on contradances at Ceasar Chavez School, 1510 W 14th
(Map) on 2nd and 4th Saturdays
through the school year. (Sept thru June).

Contra Workshop
Take a chance and Dance! EFS is sponsoring a Contra dance workshop on 2 Wednesdays, September 17, 24, 7;30-9;00 pm at Hilyard Comm. Center. You will learn the basic knowledge to feel comfortable and have fun on the dance floor. If you feel unsure about the calls, This is a great opportunity to improve your skills. If you have friends who want to learn, please tell them about our workshop! To register, call Barbara at 345-8903. The cost is $20 for two evenings, and includes free entrance to one local Contra dance. Singles and couples welcome.
If you are already a dancer and you would like to volunteer to come and help out, please call me also.
