Biofeedback is communicating between living systems, within a body or bio-community, the messages of ecology, chemical communicating & touching each other. So our feelings, body-language & instincts are all biofeedback,not just some wired up body in a lab learning to control nerves impulses! If we loose our biofeedback instincts to grow up, we become hungry by suggestion, mealtime & rituals, not organic needs for energy. That open to path to excess desire for taste & thrills, not pure balancing.
.Our simple self-serving- biolfeedback we feel hungry, thristy, tired, refreshed, achs & pain, joy & love, etc; unless thinking to much to feel it in.
Emotions are biofeedback we feel & express,unless afraid to let out fully.
However telling a true story about how you felt before now, may-not show the emotions of the event now. Ones range of feelings can be small in mind or vast in body,heart & soul. If ones doesnt share & show feelings
then we may question, guess or reflect what their body language suggests.
I do that, & open to being corrected with the true emotions they feel now?!
Common conditioned fears prevent us from feeling deeply & sharing emotions & needs openly with friends, lovers & strangers, like a natural child may do, as energy rises up within. Most serious minded adults hide emotions, under masks of polite manners, cute cliches, good goals, busy work, habits & bias attitudes. We tend to forget dreams, subtle & very surprizing emotions soon after passing, if ever aware of them currently. Most hide strong passions for safety, in fear of rejection, insults & denial. Such secret-feelngs can build-up for days or years, causing stress, achs, pain, accidents, numbing, loosing things, fears & disease. Bodies normally become tense, hard, hot or cold, stiff & tired, when not streched & relaxed naturally open to expresssing ones dynamic emotions. Chronic disease usually begins with an emotional trama & pains of injury linger on, if we dont directly release them afterwords, to clear channels for better health.
Body oriented therapy uses dozens of present conditions, senses
& signals to learn & diagnos what the true causes & effects are, to treat simply now. So we observe & sense ones: color, posture, face, eyes, voice, moves, pulse, smells, elimination, soft/hardness, pain, digestion, breathing & more, learning exactly whats: inside, excess, lacking & needed to heal now
Doing massage is naturally encounters our tensions, unless its nice surface massage. It can help relax, feel pleasure & even heal old tramas.
However, having fear of feeling stress, joy, grief & pain will prevent it, keeping it inside under excuses & reasons. We need total trusting deep feelings to let it out, alone & with others. Hyperthinking: worry, dout, no hope, plans, defending, projecting, protecting, blame, guilt, envy, jealousy & hate all hide emotions & even cause more stress to hide or let out? That causes one depression of vital energy bound up to hold in, hanging up our true passions in clinging or denying certain experiences we had & have.
Encountering others emotions is risky if people dont truth it totally.
It may take weeks to years of trust building to share long hidden feelings.
We trained to false pride in not showing pain, needs, fear, sadness & bliss.
This normal numbing causes aging, we think is natural process of living, to die? Emotions are biofeedback from bodymind & soul to feel & use creating some natural balance. But if we withold emotions, it mixes up all sensations, even to escape the abuse carried in body armor, organs, etc, of most addicted people, who suffer behind masks of social conforming image held up by ego. If we can drop or quiet our ego, emotions can flow thru our centers & heart into loving nature in others. Growing young needs deep feelings of self loving our body & other creature energy pulse around us.
