structures, grow food & improve land cooperating with nature. The new design science of Permaculture provides many sustainable(long growing)
life support systems to create homestead & community, integrating within
bioregional cycles of change.
Permaculture began around 1980 in Australia, spreading to many countries needing to reinhabitate lands & develop eco-villages for homes.
Here’s some overall PC design stradegies & perameters that offer simple ranges of options for eco-villagers to build & live in cooperative peaeful community landspaces, within ones home & common lands to share.
1. General consulting before & after surveys to decide on boundaries, limits, lot size, roadways,waterways, etc with local neighbors & govern-ment building regulations/codes, utilities, etc
2. Overall land area is surveyed to divide the available fertile growing land for residents(freehold title) & common areas (commuity trust title), with potential for restoring, organic forests & creating PC home lots.
3. Common lands are accessable to residents & guests: open & recreation areas, meeting & recycling centers, pastures, co-op gardens, foraging in food forests, ponds & aquaculture, fire prevention, waterways, all integrated to support multi-purpose balancing cycles.
4. Maximum limits for housing size, noise & gatherings, importing materials, waste making,building costs, power consumption, road size, water flows & animals, small home business potential-activities on site.
