“Fatal Attractions – Magnetic Mysteries of the Enlightenment” by Patricia Fara, UK ‘05, book review my micheal sunanda

The history of pre-electric magnetic research in Europe is reported in dramatic stories about 3 fields of Magnetism.

1. How magnetic compasses evolved in Euro navigation of British & French empires scientists From Halley on.

2. The making & selling of magnets in English science research & showing them off.

3. Animal magnetism & Mesmer movement of healing in Euro & England. Most of her magnetic characters were rich curious scientific researchers reporting their theories & results to elite groups of study. Many wrote & published books on their work.

The most famous magnetic scientists are: Halley, Descartes & Newton, with many others making, using & researching magnetism in labs, compasses & nature. However Fara ignores the magnetic ‘dowsing of underground current so common in England & elsewhere. The ‘Newton – Descartes’ debate of magnetic camps still rages on in modern science of magnetism. Newton’s “mass attraction” formulas vs Descartes “space is packed with minute swirling streams of ‘effluvia‘ particles colliding with each other producing visible effects of spinning vortexes of particles”. Newton folks rejected Descartes as ‘occult science theories” & who rejected Newton’s as “mechanical universe without spiraling mysteries or spirit”. Later magnetic theories became “streams of effluvia penetrating invisible pores of magnetic minerals”. Rarely did they go into nature to find magnetic functions & qualities, except to find loadstones having l strong natural magnetic powers of attraction.

In 20^th cent Wilhelm Reich worked 2 decades in his home labs & nature, finding microscopic energy bits, orbs or ‘bions’ he called them. But no one else could see them in his microscope at 2000X. or in sunny blues sky. However now I & 100s of people even children I’ve asked what they see in open space? do see the swirling micro dots of silvery energy floating in ‘empty’ space. The atoms or bions seem neutral or charged up with sunshine? I find many natural things on earth are magnetic from cells in living bodies, flowing water currents, many minerals, vortexes & spiraling air currents. IN Chinese science of ‘Chi kung & Feng Shui’ magnetic current flow thru space, minerals & bodies in balancing ways

Godwin Knight after Newton 1713-72 was a genius inventing a way to make artificial magnetics & selling them, he use in his magnetic attraction demonstrations dazzling scientists & children, while rejecting Descartes magnetic fluid around bodies, minerals & earth, like Halley proposed. Knight devised vague atomic theory of positive & negative corpuscles (atoms?) that cluster & combine making, solids liquids & gases. But Newton’s ‘attraction across space’ couldn’t be proved accept with magnets, tho his inverse mass attraction theory formula seemed logical. Still Newton’s ‘falling apple event’ is neat story to tell children about his discovering magnetism, kinda goes with Eve giving the apple to Adam eating it & loosing his divine innosense in Eden.

Current sidenote – in present ‘electric universe science’- James McCanney has new ‘cosmic plasma energy’ theory of “action at a distance” (AAD) between comets, planets & our sun” in his “comet plasma discharge model”. I call it ”energy exchange across space” (EEAS), where magnetic attraction pulls charged energy from one body to the other, balancing our their paths thru space. We can clearly see this in NASA SOHO satellite photos of our Sun discharging huge plasma waves when a comet travels near by triggering a CME – ‘coronal mass ejection’ of solar energy radiation, often hitting earth passing by that side.

The last part of her physical magnetism section she tells of Michael Faraday the poor English genius with disciplined study & work ascended the rich British science hierarchy to elite status as inventor & teaching electric coils & currents with magnetic flux in 1800s, & he’s called the ‘father of modern electricity’.

The 3^rd & last section of Fara - FA book in on ‘Animal Magnetism’ of Franz Mesmer & the radical healing movements he began in Europe. Mesmer was German Austrian who went to Paris around 1760s to practice his new ‘animal magnetism’ healing system was called Mesmerism. He used 4 things to cure his ailing & sick & dying patients of many ills:

1. gazing deeply into their eyes,

2. waving his hands around their bodies

3. a central (“banquet” – magnetic tub) charging system or tree to conduct Aether currents for healing,

4. the healing crisis breakthru, trance or siezure releasing trama.

(These are similar to radical healing Chi-kung, Kryia yoga, Chaotic meditation, neoTantra, Orgone therapy, Primal Scream therapy & Rebirthing healing.)

The dramas, controversy & conflicts grew & flew around his work & the angry jealous rich doctors in Paris & where he practiced couldn’t learn or know his methods appeared as magic witchcraft, hocus pocus & occult spells. He trained a few healers who practiced after he was banned from Paris.

The ‘Mesmerism’ movement spread during the radical French revolutionary movements in Europe & in England slower. Mesmer demod to prove it to critical MDs & scientists who condemned him for his methods & ‘faked’ results they couldn’t believe or understand. He retired while his trainees, followers & self made Mesmerists continued & changed his original ‘animal magnetism. He wrote book- let explaining how it works & how to do it.

Now we have the spiraling relationships of electric currents & spinning orbs (gyroscope effects) that generate magnetic fields. Massive EMF static around electric generators, transformers & power grids, microwaves-cell phones, TV, X-rays, big computers, in vehicles & fields around electric circuits. The damage these do separately has was reported the last 50 years, but now how do they combine (disynergy) into negative health effects of Total Toxic Load on humans, animals & or weather?

We need a deeper understanding of how magnetism works in earth, soil & plants, bodies & healing, mineral & volcanoes dynamics of expanding, contracting & attraction. I use the “Torusphere ‘cosmic donut’ spinning orb drawn by Halley & Descartes, modeled by K. Birkland - magnetic ‘Terrela’ in 1905; intuited by R.Steiner in 1920s; in ‘50s Velikovsky & named the ‘Van Allan’ radiation belt/bands circling earth by NASA, are flowing from south to north poles.
