Deforestation
is rapid or gradual dying of a forest of any bioregion, usually in wilderness.
Many causes of It are:

total logging = clear-cutting most or all trees for used in
lumber/paper/packaging industries.

Slash & burning down trees to clear land for farming & grazing.
3.
Over-grazing animals on lands, eating all the foliage can kill trees also.

Spraying herbicides/defoliants, usually in war to destroy enemies

hiways.

covering forest lands, destroying native habitats

1. When forests are burned by anyone/wildfires

soil, heating up & drying out, Reducing fertility, easily eroded &
washed away during heavy rains
3. Defoliated forests from poisoning, war
& bulldozing take years to grow natural ground covers & decades to regrow
forest canopy there.
4. Clear cut land has Ôpositive feedback
system, heating up, drying out, killing soil & species, eroding away &
loosing water table from fast run-off rain & melt, even creating deserts,

full & generate Oxygen in seasons cycles. Mature/climax forests are more in
