Welcome to BigD

You will not find anything from my OS/2 "Warped" page here. In fact, I will not even try to convince anyone that my latest OS is best. Quite frankly, I'm nor sure it is the best, but I am enjoying it and hope to be able to stick with this one. I haven't booted to Windows since January of 2002 (except to do my income tax returns) and I hope to be able to use that disk space for other things in the near future. Dual (or triple - or however many systems you want) booting has always been my way around an OS that doesn't quite fit my needs. Right now I have Windows 98, Mandrake, Red Hat, Debian Woody and SuSE to play with along with a Coyote Linux box as a router/firewall. I have wiped out my OS/2 partition(s) in order to make room for another OS Distribution.

Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos are still my team. I can't wait for the 2003 season to start. With Griese apparently going and being replaced by Jake Plummer, a new (at least to this position) Defensive coach and all the salary cap adjustments, things could get interesting. Last season we found we could defend without Romo, that Portis is a real threat, that we need help at quaterback and that help with the pass rush is a big need.

Nascar Winston Cup

What can I say?! Some things never change. Once racing is in your blood it's practically impossible to get away from it. With the young guns of Nascar having great years is it possible a rookie will be the Champion? Only time will tell and this will be another great season in Nascar racing

Life in Oregon

I really like it in Oregon. I still have not caught a single fish although I have been fishing. On an overnighter last year, while drifting a small portion of the Rogue near the campsite, I had one on but lost it. I was using a flyrod and I still haven't got the technique quite right, but I'm working on it... Just not as frequently as I would like. I still haven't gone this year (2002 or 2003) so my learning curve with a flyrod is going to be very large.
