Individual Note:   Laverne was diagnosed with cancer that had progressed quite far before her doctors identified it. Otto and Betty Olsson went to Honalulu and brought her home to Tucson, AZ, where she died just a few days later, with Betty sitting beside her.

Karen Olsson felt quite close to her aunt Laverne.
