I like the Libertarians' definitions of political persuasions: A conservative wants freedom of economic forces but government control of individuals. A liberal wants control of economic forces (I'd include statistical numbers of people) and individual freedom. An authoritarian wants both kinds of control, a Libertarian (a variety of anarchist?) wants both kinds of freedom. Further definitions (10K), from a discussion forum
