Wrote... Once they've evaded the caracal and arrived back at the visitor's center, Mills decides to have a few words with Macgill in the dining room. During this time, we can clearly see two ceiling fans running. A lot of people have written me and said that they shouldn't be running because all the power is out. However, at no time has anyone up to this point said all the power is out. The fences are out around the complex, the phones are out, and evidently some power is out, at least in the kitchen, because Macgill said all the ice cream was melting. If you'll remember, Gould's sabotage is the reason systems were going out, and the failures seemed to be random. The whole complex didn't just shut down. The entire power system doesn't go out until later, when Jackson shuts down the control systems. So, although some of the center's power seems to be out at the moment, it's arguable that the fans were running on a circuit that was not shut off.

Wrote... I've been a fan of this band since 1986 (when I was a senior in high school), and I had got their second album in your face. To me, their best album had to be Truth And Soul. That album showed the band at its peak. I had seen the original band many times, and I've seen the later incarnations as well. Spacey T is a damn good guitar player, and I think they should have gotten him when Kendall left the group. He would have sounded killer when they were at Lollapalooza and the 93-94 tour when Chris was still there.

Wrote... I just saw the boys in a small hamlet on the edge of the world called Lunenburg. I'd seenthem advertised on billboards and couldn't believe that this would be the Fishbone that I was familiar with, playing in the middle of nowhere. So I went and watched as parents hauled up and left their kids out with their backpacks on and skateboards tucked under their arms( we were the oldest people there,41). We finally got the gumption to go in and sat through two local punk/grunge bands when low and behold Angelo Moore steps out to mess with the Muzac, playing jazz and gospel and with every change of record he'd look out at the kids and laugh like," How's that, man? Fucked up enough fo'yah?",and I could see what he was doing; trying to educate these babys. They took the stage after Spacey T. finished the finer points of setting up and Angelo impressed us all with his control of the theremin(sp). Then they layed into some tight ska a la Ma and Pa. It was only an hour or so but I would have payed much more to hear and see them. Sadly, the toddlers were only interested in moshing, basically. You know give them a beat and they're gone. The high point for me was Sunless Saturday, and Bonin' in the Boneyard. Boys, I hope you realize how appreciative I am for you showing up here. I still can't believe it. I hope you had time to do some sightseeing. It really is a beautiful place. I wish I could have talked to all of you but had to settle for Spacey T. and John Steward. Thanks again. Wrote... I first listened to Fishbone sometime in 1986-1987, and I had never heard anything like them. They completely changed my appreciation for music. Their music trained my ear to recognize art, and filter out cccrrraaap. No other person or band, in my concert-going experience, has ever put on a better peformance. No other band is as diverse - they always stretch out their imaginations out into the infinite universe. Fishbone has done it better than any of the bands who followed, and I will always continue to be inspired by them. I hope they tour a bit more, soon.

When I saw 6 black dudes from LA get on stage, I thought to myself," oh man, why did come here, this is gonna suck."(keeping in mind that this was the era of cheezy rap start ups) Instead I was amazed. These guys were not only amazingly tight, but they could play an entire spectrum of genres--- WELL. I've seen 'em 7 times over the last 12 years. I'm an avid concert goer. I've probably been to about 200 different concerts in my life. In my opinion, to have seen Fishbone anytime between 1987 and 1995, is to have seen as good a live music show as there ever was.---------Anyway, that's my Fishbone take-- I actually just came looking to see if they were gonna be in the bay area anytime in the near future.
