As tens of thousands gather at the gates of the School of the Americas to protest its horrendous policies, Eugene-area activists will come to LASC's annual gathering to remember those who have suffered at the hands of SOA graduates. Music, information, and the signing of the names of martyrs and "Presente".HOLIDAY WREATHS FROM THE FARMWORKER WOMEN'S ORGANIZATION "MUJERES LUCHADORAS PROGRESISTAS" OF WOODBURN--ORDER THROUGH LASC TODAY! It's that time of year: LASC is once again taking orders for holiday wreaths from the farmworker women's empowerment organization "MLP" ("Women Fighting for Progress")! The wreaths are hand-tied, made of fresh Oregon noble fir, and decorated with holly, pine cones and a red bow. They are 24-26 inches wide and cost $30. All orders must be placed by Monday, November 23rd at 1pm; all checks must be received by Friday, November 25. By making and marketing these wreaths, members of Mujeres Luchadoras Progresistas contribute to the well-being of their families and develop their leadership skills.
