Who Am I?

I build an Imsai 8080 running at 2MHz with a whopping 4k of RAM from a kit way back in 1978. Added 2 8" floppy drives holding 250k each and 60k more memory. Monitor was a 17" Panasonic black and white TV connected directly to the video amp. Learned a lot (eventually memorizing most of the opcodes, hmmm c9 was RET right?) and wrote tons of assembly language programs - even a small compiler that produced relocatable modules and used RPN math.

Next was my beloved Amiga 1000 in 1985. Wrote many many programs (MachV, Crossword Creator, World Odyssey, countless disk magazine programs - remember JumpDisk?) on that and my Amiga 3000. Now it's Linux which is almost as much fun.

Politically, as you can see, I'm a bit to the left. Wasn't always this way (voted for Ford), but was aghast at the election of Reagan. At first glance I thought Baby Bush might be ok; cocaine and alcohol use weren't a fault in my book. But he quickly proved to be an ignorant puppet of oil interests and the neocons. What he has done (and gotten away with) since being selected is nothing less than astounding.
Oh, and I broke my fool neck in 1976. Crap.
