The Final is Friday, August 3 in our classroom. Here is the Final Exam List.
There will be six paired slide comparisons (compare and contrast!) for ten points each, and eight identify/questions for five points each.
Dates for the works of art on the Final: You may continue to use our system, so that, for example, Picasso's Portrait of Gertrude Stein is dated 20th century Spanish (or, for him, you could even say French). In the essay for the slide comparisons you would write about abstract or Cubist characteristics of the painting. So, Boccioni's sculpture will be dated 20th century Italian, and in the essay you will write about how it typifies Futurism.
The Exam will be composed of about 50% paired slide comparisons (you have now done several of these) and 50% of the single work questions that combine identification and the answering of one question about the work. You have done many of these. Contact me if you have any questions.
