AMERICAN ACADEMY IN ROME SUMMER PROGRAM IN ARCHAEOLOGYAnnual, usually June-July. "The seven-week course teaches selected participants the objectives and methods of archaeology through instruction and hands-on experience in active archaeological research. The program is divided into two parts: three weeks in residence at the American Academy for lectures and the opportunity to study the monuments and sources offered by Rome itself, and four weeks on-site at an archaeological excavation."
