Spirit Lake (1580m, 5,200 ft.) is a pleasant little lake situated in old growth forest near Koch Mountain.The adjacent meadow has a great display of wildflowers in July. It is an easy 1 km hike in from Road 2422.

Habenaria dilatata(White Bog Orchid, Bog Candle)

Orchid with a tall spike densely packed with fragrant white flowers. Found in bogs and other wet areas.

Polygonum phytolaccaefolium (Alpine Knotweed)

Polygonaceae

Large alpine meadow plant with bunches of pink buds and small white flowers.

Polemonium carneum (Royal Polemonium, Great Polemonium, Salmon Polemonium)

Polemoniaceae

The flower of this Polemonium has large yellow (salmon-colored) or lavender petals and a yellow center. Found in moist meadows and along streams.
