Attending the July meeting of the Eugene Bicycle Coalition were Jim Wilcox, Paul Moore, Webb Sussman and Lee Shoemaker(Eugene, Bicycle/Alt Modes Coordinator)

1. Committee members in attendance provided feedback on the July in
Motion event, noting that the event this year appeared to be more
successful than the one in downtown Eugene last year. Music was
especially impressive. A greater effort to promote the event could bring
more awareness and participation.

2. Lee Shoemaker from the City of Eugene gave a review of construction
projects that will affect cycling routes.

3. There was brief discussion of the current flurry of letters to the
editors regarding bikes and cars, safety and cyclists who flaunt traffic
rules. A question was raised as to whether the Coalition should have a
response.
