    TAKE A CLASS

  • SGP Teacher In-service on October In-service Day
  • UO Spring Seminar on School Gardens (Link)
  • UO Summer Seminar, Zero Week (1st week after school is out)
  • SERVICES AND FEES

    Garden Design Consultation

    We will meet with your garden committee on-site to discuss and evaluate site options, constraints, and opportunities. ($15/hour)

    Garden Planning Meeting

    A meeting with interested teachers and parents to set goals, make a planting plan and teaching agenda, and coordinate tasks. ($15/hour)

    Teaching Students

    Our staff (and volunteers, if available) will teach one class of students in your garden or indoors (for schools without gardens). This can be a garden design exercise. ($15/hour)

    Garden Work Party

    An SGP staff member will help plan and lead a work party and recruit volunteers to help. ($10/hour)

    Field Trips to Gardens

    We will help you arrange and lead a tour for your class to view and experience another school's garden, the UO Urban Farm, or a local organic farm. ($15/hour)

    Fee Adjustments

    Discounts for Schools Serving Low Income Students (Link)

    Transportation fee for schools outside of the Eugene-Springfield urban area (Link)

    Afterschool Gardening Programs

    The SGP can lead a garden club at your school by charging a participation fee or by contracting with your existing afterschool program.

    Collaboration on Grant Proposals

    We will help schools prepare grant proposals that include funds for our services.
