School Fee Discounts

The School Garden Project recognizes that not all schools are equally equipped to pay the fees that we charge for our services. Schools that serve populations of lower socioeconomic status (SES) have less ability to raise funds. School districts often use the percentage of students eligible for free or reduced lunch (FRL) as an indicator of SES. Therefore, we have created the following discount schedule for schools in Bethel, Eugene, and Springfield Districts based on FRL statistics from last year. (If your school is in another Lane County School District, please contact us.)

5% Discount (40-54% FRL): Aubrey Park, Briggs, Clear Lake, Kalapuya, Kelly, Madison, McCornack, Prairie Mtn, Ridgeview, Shasta, Spring Creek, Springfield HS, Walterville, Willamette HS

10% Discount (55-69% FRL): Agnes Stewart, Cascade, Danebo, Family, Goshen, Harris, Jefferson, Magnet Arts, Malabon, Meadowlark, Mt. Vernon, Network, Village

15% Discount (70-84% FRL): Adams, Centennial, Elizabeth Page, Fairfield, Hamlin, Howard, Springfield MS

20% Discount (85-100% FRL): Brattain, Chavez, Douglas Gardens, Guy Lee, Maple, Moffitt, Opportunity Center, Riverbend, River Road

Transportation Fees

While we do want to serve school gardens in all of Lane County, we cannot afford to pay the full cost of transportation to visit schools outside of the Eugene-Springfield metropolitan area. Therefore, we have set these fees per visit for the following schools. We hope to be able to also provide free assistance to these distant schools with our improved website, and by email and phone.

$3 Pleasant Hill

$6 Mohawk, Camp Creek, Creswell

$10 Walterville, Junction City, Veneta/Elmira

$15 Cottage Grove, Dexter, Lowell

$35 McKenzie Bridge, Oakridge

$50 Florence
