See Pictures of the Tarsal Tunnel and Your Pain!
Be Patient - This Page Has Lots of Images to Load!
Here you can see pictures of what the tarsal tunnel looks like, where it is located and how it creates the pain in our feet. I am deeply grateful to the doctors, artists and companies that have posted these images on the Net. If I have not credited someone properly, please email me
.Below is a picture of the tarsal tunnel area. It is from the multimedia work of Dr. Randal Sechrest. It is a great site on the web for patients seeking to understand this painful condition.
Great drawing of the interior tendons and nerves involved in TTS

Pictured below is from the interior below the ankle bone - the nerve is yellow

The next image is from Foot Care Direct. They have a large web site of information and products. This is a good view of how the TT is compressed as it runs under the ankle bone.

TAKE THE TARSAL TUNNEL PAIN TEST
You can quickly check out your own tarsal tunnel. Take the Tarsal Tunnel Sensitivity Test.
Simply tap repeatedly on the inside of your feet in the areas shown in these pictures.
Tap all around under the inside ankle bone. If you feel a tingling or any pain that can mean that you may have Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome or neuropathy.
Get a referral from your regular doctor for a neurologist or podiatrist or osteopath for further testing. I had to see three doctors before getting properly diagnosed.
Remember: This condition does not get better by itself - it gets worse
My deep thanks to all the artists, docs and others who put these pictures on the web!
