- HIKING TRAILS AND WILDFLOWERS by Keith and Barbro McCree -

Vivian Lake Trail Map
The Vivian Lake trail goes past several nice lakes in the Diamond Peak Wilderness, and some pretty falls on Fall Creek. The trail runs between the Salt Creek Falls day use area (off Highway 58), and Road 23 near Hemlock Butte, a total distance of 11 km (7 miles). Vivian Lake is about an equal distance from either trailhead. There is another trailhead at the end of road 510 on Pinto Mountain.

Parts of this trail are quite steep. It reaches an altitude of 1950 m (6,400 ft.) as it crosses the ridge between Vivian Lake and Notch Lake.
