- HIKING TRAILS AND WILDFLOWERS by Keith and Barbro McCree -

The Larison Creek trail is one of the most beautiful trails in the area.
The trail first winds around an inlet on Hills Creek Reservoir. This section
has a southern exposure and is a good place to spot early
wildflowers. The trail continues up the creek for several kilometers.
It meanders through old-growth forest, passing numerous pools and waterfalls
along the creekbed. Eventually, the trail crosses the creek and climbs up
to Road 101 through a clearcut.

of other plants, Sedum in this picture. Found on rock outcrops.

Pyrola asarifolia
(Pink Wintergreen)
Ericaceae

areas of the forest.
