Laura and Benjamin Beamer are award-winning artists best known for their organic shapes derived from loom-woven natural fibers. Laura and Benjamin explore depth, hue and texture with creations that seem familiar, but are perceptually elusive. While seagrass and sisal provide the medium for much of their art, they use and experiment with many things on the loom such as bicycle tire innertubes. All of her pieces begin on their loom then evolve into free-standing sculptures; vessels that capture and hold a viewer's imagination."
